Here's my sketch for the week. It was inspired by somebody in one of my classes who said one day "I saw a flock of meese once." I recently saw the film Moulin Rouge! for the first time and was very inspired by it. For one thing, it was a great story with an amazing soundtrack. But even better was the way the film was made. This guy (Joshua Allen Harris) creates these sort of inflatable sculptures out of plastic bags and the ventilation from subways brings them to life. I think that this guy really is an artist. He uses unorthodox materials and the energy of the city to create something that anybody can see and appreciate.
