Weekly journal, week of September 21st

Here's my sketch for the week. It was inspired by somebody in one of my classes who said one day "I saw a flock of meese once."

I recently saw the film Moulin Rouge! for the first time and was very inspired by it. For one thing, it was a great story with an amazing soundtrack. But even better was the way the film was made. The cinematography is incredibly unique. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0203009/

This guy (Joshua Allen Harris) creates these sort of inflatable sculptures out of plastic bags and the ventilation from subways brings them to life. I think that this guy really is an artist. He uses unorthodox materials and the energy of the city to create something that anybody can see and appreciate.
